Paris day one

Last week myself and two very good friends went on a little adventure to the city of love.

We left with the intentions of falling in love with charming french boys, despite promising our fathers we wouldn't. Luckily for them, we did not fall in love but instead wandered the narrow streets of paris oo la la la'ing at the incredible architecture and famous landmarks.

As Charlotte and Matilda had never visited Paris and I had not been since I was much younger, you can  imagine that we were the typical keen young tourists that you see in big cities.  We arose from our beds rather too early with the excitement of a busy day ahead of us.

Are you ready to be bombarded with too many pictures? Embrace yourself peeps!!!

Paris is a beautiful city of lights, beautiful green parks, fashion, famous buildings and monuments, cuisine and  Haussmann architecture lining wide avenues.

Our first stop was Av Winston Churchill which has some famous buildings on it including Petit Palais with incredible golden gates. Pictures are further down!!!

We were rather lucky with the weather as you can see which really made the adventure extra special and memorable.
The picture of the bridge above is my personal favourite bridge in Paris. I think its absolutely beautiful and the views from it are spectacular. Its called Pont Alexandre lll.

Next stop: Arc de Triomphe.
After taking too many pictures on the bridge we swiftly moved on to shopping down champ eyclpses. Champ eyclpes is one a many streets that leads to the Arc de TriompheThe Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle.

After pondering the streets of Paris we eventually arrived at Parc Monceau. Its breathtakingly beautiful with old ruins, green grass and wonderful statues. It seems to be quite a popular joggers spot swell.
We sat on the benches to regain back some energy and to soak up some rays haha.

We actually ended going back to Petit Palais as it wasn't open when we first arrived.

As a new student at university, about to study architecture, these kind of buildings and architecture really excites me. I just wish I could travel back in time to the 1900's so that I could have designed something as extravagant and beautiful as these buildings and ceilings. One can dream haha.

Peek a boo :)

After walking around all morning, naturally we were very tired and hungry so we headed to Laduree.
Laduree is one of my favourite little bakeries in London and as we were in Paris how could we possibly say no to coming to one of its shops in its home town.
Hot chocolate for three which tastes like melted chocolate? Yes please :)

Can anyone tell me if this is the fountain that ann hathaway threw her phone in in the film Devil wears Prada?
I was most exited to climb up the eiffel tower, and climb we defiantly did. We walked all the way to the second floor which I can tell you now was VERY tiring. I advise you to just get the lift!!!

Our plan was to go up about 30 minuets before sunset to then be able to watch the sunset set. Once the sun had set we then waited a while to be able to see the city slowly light up.

 Isn't the sunset spectacular?

Roll on the cheesy photos!!!

  We heart Paris :D

I defiantly did not want to leave Paris so soon as its such a fantastic lively city with such a great vibe about it.
After a long day we took a taxi cab back to the hotel and chatted into the early hours of the morning.
See what we got up to the following day soon!!!
xoxo
