French adventures

If you have read my previous posts, you will know that I was in France last week and also the week before.

Having had a few relaxing days by the pool we decided to venture out.
We started the day off by going to a nearby beach to watch the waves crash down on the rocks. There are so many different types of beaches in France but some of my favourites are the rocky beaches. The rocky beaches tend to have very large waves which crash on to the rocks which I find rather relaxing.

We decided to get some fresh pastries from the patisserie and have breakfast by the ocean. Naturally, with all the rich food, I gained a considerable amount of weight haha. As we ate our breakfast we watched the boats pass by and the sun lift higher into the sky.

After a quick shower and a change of clothing, we headed into another local town for a ponder around the shops. See what I mean about the food, how could anyone resist fresh pastries, cakes and chocolate covered fruit!!!

We walked into a very dangerous shop full of sweet treats and as a nougat lover, I was in my absolute eliminate. They had every flavour you could imagine from strawberry to pistachio. The nougat was five euros for 100g. Having underestimated 100g I walked out the shop with 330g. What a plonker, but it was totally worth it.

The town had a very medieval vibe which I thought was adorable. There were so many cute shops and buildings and the flag bunting made the town feel so cosy and friendly.

I will never understand how they grow these hydrangeas. Don't you think the colour of these ones just beautiful. Not to mention the gorgeous colour of the shutters.

The rest of the afternoon was spent on a push pole boat where we were guided through the marshes.

The water looks pretty murky here but infant the water was very clear. The colour of the water comes from the colour of the the bottom of the marsh.

After a long day we relaxed at the villa with our books and munched on french baguette.
I wish I was back in France but thankfully I will be returning next week when I venture out to Paris with my chums.

xoxo
